Catching up with Camila Ganon
Uluwatu is a calm and dreamy surf heaven and Brazilian beauty Camila Ganon is lucky enough to call this place her home. Here is an inside look at how she got into health coaching and more about her lifestyle in Bali.
How did you get into health coaching?
Since I was young my family was really focused on a healthy lifestyle so I was always really aware of what I was putting into my body. Also, about 3 years ago I had slipped into an eating disorder and decided to regain control over my health. I went on vegan diet and haven't turned back. Since then I started receiving a lot of messages on instagram about body image/healthy food/ & other girls with eating disorders seeking advice. So I realized that I could use my platform to help out a lot of girls. From there I went to study at INN - Integrative Nutrition - In New York. Our body and minds are so interconnected. So I always give this example to my clients: You can eat the most clean diet, but if your mind isn't good you are not healthy.
What is your daily routine?
I wake up very early, around 6am. I drink a big glass of warm water with lime and then I go to my yoga mat to do some stretching/meditation and journaling. I love to exercise in the morning to set myself up for the day, whether it be running, surfing, boxing, or a h.i.i.t class. I love making smoothies at home and then I do some work online - coaching and emails or I’ll have a photoshoot set up for the day.
Favorite food to make?
My favorite food to make is smoothie bowls. I love being able to create, not just following a specific recipe and I’ll add other healthy options like superfoods. They are so yummy! The secret to get the best consistency is to use frozen fruit (I always have banana, passionfruit and frozen berries in my freezer).
What’s your go-to outfit?
I love being comfy and casual. Basically I live more in a bikini than clothes. Also, I love denim!
Goals for the year?
Start teaching yoga, open a vegan restaurant in Bali, and travel more.
What do you love most about living in Bali?
The simplicity and authenticity of the lifestyle. I love being so connected to nature, especially by the ocean.
